March Knitting Projects

The Spring Pull-Over

It's going to be soooo soft and little exquisite for a poncho styled sweater, but if someone going to over do it...It'll be me!!!

I'm currently 75% percent done the 95-7 Drops Jumper with V-Neck. I'm knitting 12 skeins of Naturally Hand Knit Kid et Soie on 5.5 mm circular needles.

The Sylvi..........It's gorgeous!!

Next I'm knitting the Sylvi from the Twist Collective's Winter 2008 Collection. I have 13 skeins of Atlantic Wool in the Scarlet Color from Brigg's and Little waiting patiently for me to begin.

So much Yarn and not enough time.

A Coral Tank for the Warm Weather

I finished knitting my soliel top last night. I can't wait to wear it during the warm spring and summer months.
I am pleased to inform my viewers that this is also my first knit top. It's the Soliel design from Knitty's Spring 2005 line.

Thread Bangers Rocks!!!

Yesterday I came across a great site Tread Banger for sewing enthusiasts. Thread Bangers is a great source for ideas and inspiration for creators interested in DYI, recycled clothing recreates, craft projects and refashion. They have several episode shows; The Thread Heads, How-To-Tuesdays, Halloweeny Wednesdays, Holly Jolly How to, Decor it Yourself and Fashion Enemy. The Thread Heads show, The Forum section and the learn how to (make) posts are my favorite features on the Thread Banger's site

The main show is Thread Heads this Friday post features indie designers and crafters who share the Thread Bangers Perspective. The Hosts are Rob Czar and Corinne Leigh these fun-loving, innovator seekers keep creatives on the edge of their seats waiting to see what new projects is up next. A few episode titles: How-to Make a Bikini Cover-up for Summer, How-to Felt a Sweater and How to Make Hat Molds with Victor Osborne. I find the show motivating, inspirational and fun to watch.

The Thread Banger Forum has many inspirational and informative posts from fellow creatives; displaying their thoughts and projects. This is a great place to post your own work to receive positive feedback and give mentorship to your global community. There are projects from all levels of crafters and stem artists posted.

The Learn How to (Make) section of Thread Bangers is a great resource for DIY works. Each projects has full descriptions of how to make projects, some of the posts are just a sequence of photos displaying a step-by-step process of the project. Check out these links How to Make a Tuxedo Bib, DIY Screen Printing, How to Turn Old jeans into a Stylin New Skirt. For more Learn How to (make)'s just scroll to the bottom of the hyperlinked pages and click on one of the selections.

I hope you find inspiration from the Thread Banger website. I can't wait to watch a few more Thread Head episodes, and post my own projects on the Forum and create some "Learn How to (make)" projects
